If it wasn’t abundantly clear already, Paul Millsap is not going anywhere. Atlanta Hawks general manager Wes Wilcox told The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski that, not only is the All-Star forward definitely not going to be traded before Thursday’s deadline, Millsap will be the front office’s top priority when it comes to free agency this summer. In January, Atlanta explored the possibility of trading him, but decided against it after testing the market.
NBA Trade Rumors: Luol Deng to Minnesota Timberwolves
This might be my favorite possible destination, even though it's extremely difficult to construct a workable trade that doesn't involve Pau Gasol . Bogut's passing ability would shine in the Spurs' system, and they badly need somebody to direct traffic defensively if they're going to compete for a title. It seems like a long shot, but it would be neat.
NBA Trade Rumors: Jimmy Butler To The Los Angeles Lakers?
Here are a few teams that could try to pry Bogut away in exchange for a first-round pick, with the caveat that the Mavs aren't yet shopping him, according to ESPN.

The Timberwolves are among several teams to inquire about Knicks point guard Derrick Rose, according to ESPN's Ian Begley. It's unclear what Minnesota would offer for Rose in a trade at this point.
The Timberwolves, like the Lakers, could be eyeing the postseason, but only after making a smart move. That smart move could very well be with the Los Angeles Lakers for Luol Deng.
The latest NBA trade rumors are buzzing about a potential three-team transaction between the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, and Minnesota Timberwolves. In this rumored trade proposal, the Lakers would receive Carmelo Anthony and Ricky Rubio. The Knicks would be sent a package that includes Andrew Wiggins, power forward Julius Randle, small forward Luol Deng, center Nikola Pekovic, and point guard Jose Calderon. The Timberwolves would acquire power forward Kristaps Porzingis and combo guard Jordan Clarkson to round out this colossal trade scenario that is presently being bandied about in the rumor mill.
Bogdanovic isn’t quite the high-octane scorer that Williams is, but he is a big improvement over what the Wizards are currently working with. The 6-8 forward is averaging points per game while shooting 85 percent on 8-pointers.
McDaniels is a 6-6 athletic wing who was shown flashes in limited playing time with the 76ers and the Rockets. Wojnarowski reports that the Rockets are unloading McDaniels’ $8 million contract possibly to set themselves up to acquire a player who has been bought out by another team.
This is a fake rumor. By "fake," I don't mean that it didn't or won't become reality. I mean that that there was no official consideration of it becoming reality reported anywhere.
On the sports internet, where conversation around potential events is just as valuable -- and perhaps more compelling -- than conversation about actual events, all you need is a sense of what's possible to get a lot of people looking at your made-up garbage. And if one of those people makes the mistake of sharing said garbage on a prominent platform, you can blast fiction all the way into the mainstream news cycle.
